Minister of Agriculture Development and Food Security, Mr Patrick Ralotsia, is set to attend the ninth Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFAR) in Germany.

According to a press release, the minister would attend the forum on January 18 - 22.

The release states that GFAR is the world’s agriculture research for development community working together to transform and strengthen agriculture food research and innovation system.

It says the forum will create platform to address systematic challenges, disconnect between the partners and to work and to work on the role of agriculture in the sustainable use of water as a resource, and investigating how farming sector can fulfil the task of feeding the world despite water scarcity.

The minister is expected to return on January 23 Development and Food Security. BOPA
