Sedigeng laid to rest

Pastor Tuelo Lekgowa Sedigeng of Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church was buried in Mogojogojo on January 15.

The late Mr Sedigeng died on January 1 after a short illness. Several speakers at the funeral described Mr Sedigeng as a hard worker, kind-hearted, supportive, lovely, courteous and an advice giver.

Among the mourners was the Minister of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology and also MP for Mmathethe/Molapowabojang constituency, Dr Alfred Madigele.

He said the late was a humble father, loving and caring person.

He said the late Mr Sedigeng was a dedicated person, a true servant of God who served the country and the church whole heartedly.

The MP said he was exemplary and an asset to the family as well as the country,
and thanked residents for turning up in large numbers to bid their mentor farewell. He therefore expressed his condolences for the loss and appreciation to the family for having raised a man of such calibre.

Dr Madigele said he was a good leader whom many people learnt a lot from, as through his teaching profession he shaped many leaders such as engineers, councillors as well as doctors.  

The late Mr Sedigeng was born on August 31, 1950 in Kanye. He started his primary education at Mmathethe village in 1962 and proceeded to Ipelegeng Secondary School in Lobatse in 1970 till 1972.

In 1975 he went to Lobatse Training College where he started his teaching profession.

He taught at at Loporung in 1977, Letlhakane primary and Gathwane primary school.

He also taught at Mogojogojo primary and he was a deputy head teacher where he left the job in 2008.

He was married to Ntesang Patience Sedigeng and was blessed with three children, a boy and two girls. BOPA
