Kgosi Oletile Modisa of Serule has passed on.
Spokesperson of the Modisa family and younger brother to Kgosi Modisa, Dr Letlhogile Modisa said in an interview that Kgosi Modisa died on December 25.
He said they suspected that his demise was caused by heart failure.
However, postmortem would determine the cause of Kgosi Modisa’s death.  
Dr Modisa explained that Kgosi Modisa was born on February 7, 1961.
He said Kgosi Modisa studied at Botswana College of Agriculture where he obtained a certificate in agriculture.  Kgosi Modisa continued with his studies and obtained a Diploma in Agriculture.
Dr Modisa said after completing his diploma, the deceased obtained a Degree in Agricultural studies in the United Kingdom at WHE College before obtaining his Masters in Agriculture specialising in Weed Science at Melbourne University in Australia.
Dr Modisa stated Kgosi Modisa worked as a civil servant in research under the Ministry of Agriculture until 2001 when he retired. Dr Modisa said his elder brother was installed as Serule kgosi in 2001 after his retirement from the civil service.
A date for the funeral would be communicated. ENDS
