Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Slumber Tsogwane has issued election instruments in accordance with Section 154(2) of the Electoral Act,(Cap.02:09), ordering the holding of bye-elections of council members for Boikago-Madiba and Tsabong North polling districts in the Palapye and Kgalagadi South constituencies.

 According to a press release from the ministry, Mr Tsogwane has directed that nominations of candidates for the by-elections in the aforesaid polling districts, be received on the December 30, 2016 between the hours of 9.00 a.m to 1.00 p.m and 2.30 p.m to 5.00 p.m. at Palapye Central primary school, Palapye and Seetelo primary school in Tsabong.

The minister further directed that polls, which may become necessary for both polling districts shall be taken on January 21, 2017.ENDS
