Mr Batshu informed the recipients that after the success of the BOT50 celebrations, President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama saw it fit to honour those who contributed their time, skills and in any other way to the success of the celebrations countrywide .
“These certificates are an expression of gratitude from His Excellency, thePresident on behalf of all Batswana, for the outstanding work done by this team,” Mr Batshu said.

“We need more people with that attitude because with it we shall prosper as a nation, as you may be aware, the bot50 celebrations were meant to celebrate ourselves as Batswana, to celebrate our successes, and our years of progress, to reflect on how we have overcome challenges over the years, and to rebrand our being and our identity, “he said.
