Department faces drivers license challenge

The Department of Road Transport and Safety is experiencing challenges in printing of driver’s license cards due to faulty laminators.
A press release from the department states that drivers will be allowed to use expired cards only if they are accompanied by payment receipts from the department.
This, the release states, will act as proof of payment for the renewal of the expired licenses.
Affected customers are therefore advised to always carry the expired license cards and the receipt and to produce them when requested to do so by law enforcers, the release states. ENDS
