The Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, Mr Kitso Mokaila is expected to attend the De Beers business excellence seminar in London from June 10-12.

Minister Mokaila is expected to leave for London on June 10 and will also attend the African energy forum in Spain from June 18-20.

A news release from the ministry said the London seminar would accord the minister an opportunity to promote Botswana. Mr Mokaila would further Botswana’s objectives with the sight holder community hence allowing the sight holders to engage with Botswana government as well.

While in Spain, the minister would give a keynote address to 750 international financiers and partners in the energy sector.

African governments, power utility executives, development finance institutions, development partners and private sector would discuss how they could work together to close Africa’s current power gap and meet its projected demand. ENDS
