South east hosts Seeretsi natives

Celebrated folklore group, Tomeletso Sereetsi and the Natives will perform at the south east district Chairman’s Fund fundraiser, dubbed Re Mono Hela on Saturday.
The charity fund raising outing will be held at Mogobane Irrigation Scheme site commonly known as Dipoponere.
Other performances will be by Ntirelang Berman and Poifo Motladiile.
The Chairman’s Fund, which is the brainchild of the current chairperson Mr Phenyo Segokgo is the council’s corporate social responsibility arm and is responsible for the council’s charitable enjoyments.
A press release from the council states that the Fund intends to promote activities that enable people to develop individual and communal potentialities, facilitated shared visions and aspirations for the development of the south east district and the country as a whole.
To achieve its mandate, the releases says the Fund has to come up with creative means to raise funds and come up with methods to create platforms for other areas in the district to blossom.
Such areas include but not limited to spot tourism, cultural diversity, alternative recreational avenues, and entrepreneurship and promote platforms for engagement and networking.
The day activities will include traditional food, clothing, brandy and wine testing, sporting activities and arts exhibitions among others.
The event tickets go for P1000 for platinum, P500 diamond and P250 for gold tickets. ENDS
