15 Nov 2016

MP for Serowe North, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse has urged Swaneng Primary school teachers to remain resolute in their work as their dividends await them in abundance.

Mr Autlwetse, who is also Assistant Minister of Agricultural Development and Food Security MP  noted this during the school’s prize giving and Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) victory celebration on Saturday in Serowe. The school emerged victorious in 2015 PSLE to win a floating trophy and some monetary prize.

The guest speaker said he was a content man as Swaneng primary has had indelible strides in shaping the foundation of the education system as a nation and continues to architect the aspirations of those who stand with it to greater heights.

“Dear parents, success exalt all of us. Today we bask in the glory of the fruits of our labour hence the theme, Celebrating Success. Success should never be a product of coincidence,” he said.

The MP said success should have a rail of evidence, managed by tripartite mutualisation of the knowledgeable teacher who teaches from the heart, the supporting parent and the appreciative student who obediently commits their energies to nothing but education.

The MP said he saw hope  come 2036 and beyond, and added that the young minds being nourished today shall nurture sustainable Economic Development, lead human and social development.

He said the pupils shall also sustain the environment and continue to be examples of good governance, peace and security.

He encouraged the pupils to believe in themselves, work hard and say no to bad influence.

Mr Autlwetse said investing in education pays the best interest hence government invests heavily on education regardless of a limited budget.

The school head, Mr Martin Chiswili expressed delight over the school’s achievement, noting that it was not easy and extended his gratitude to their stakeholders’ unwavering support.

Mr Chiswili said, “success has put us on the map,” and attributed that to the introduction of specialisation teaching system.

He thanked their stakeholders for buying into the idea, saying it was a good move.

The school head encouraged the parents, teachers and students to continue working as a unit to ensure that they retain the momentum and the trophy. BOPA
