IHS students give back to community

Third year students from Institute of Health Sciences in Serowe, who were posted at Kadimo Samson Clinic, have contributed to renovation of Basimane Boiditswe ward kgotla shade.
They erected signs that specified location of the clinic and the kgotla as well as planting trees.
The trainees officially handed over the community projects on November 12.
The ward headman, Mr Gomolemo Omphile, thanked the trainees for a job well done especially since the shade had been out of use for the past three years.
He appreciated the idea of erecting signage to both the clinic and kgotla. He said it was always good to see young people involved in projects that were beneficial to the community.
Representative from constituency office, Mr Emmanuel Orateng aplauded the trainees for a job well done, adding that Basimane Boiditswe ward was one the main wards in Serowe with 33 wards under it.
He further said the kgotla had changed its shape something that had not happened in a long time.
The student representative, Mr Raymond Dinake thanked the residents of Basimane Boiditswe ward, schoolheads from various schools and the business community for their contribution towards helping them.
He encouraged the residents to carry on with coming up with ideas that would benefit their community.
Certificates of appreciation were later awarded to everybody who took time from their busy schedule to make the project a success by Kgosi Polokakgolo Kebailele who also welcomed the changes with open arms.
Giving his vote of thanks, Councilor Ratora thanked everyone who took part including the Ipelegeng workers who spent most of their time helping out.
He pleaded with the residents to also partake in all projects that involve their community and not wait for people from outside to do their work.BOPA
