Observe children behaviour pattern

Deputy Sub-Council secretary for Molepolole/ Lentsweletau Administrative Authority (MAA)/Mr Slumber Mokgosi has urged parents to jealously guard the way their children behave both in schools and at home.
Mr Mokgosi also said that it is crucial to observe children’s behavior patterns because of the complexities of raising children in a fast paced modern society coupled with challenges of alcohol and drug abuse.
Speaking at Boribamo pre-school graduation ceremony on Thursday, Mr Mokgosi has also encouraged parents to collaborate with teachers in the betterment of their children’s education as they are the future leaders.
He also stressed that children, young as they are, need much guidance particularly in this era where moral decay is the order of the day.
The deputy sub- council secretary has also urged parents to get into the habit of tracking their children’s progress at school by setting aside a day once in a while to visit the school and make suggestions on how learners can improve their performance.
He also emphasised that parents must respond whenever the school authorities demand their presence on whatever matter there maybe pertaining to their children.
He appreciated the role played by teachers in moulding the society.
The official acknowledged that teachers are faced with challenges that compete for attention with them in delivery of teaching in the modern day where technology is more advanced.
Nevertheless, Mr Mokgosi has challenged learners to always take their school work seriously because they still have a long way to go.
For her part, school head, Ms. Setabogi Segadimo said that although there are challenges facing the school such as shortage of classrooms, teachers strive to do the best they can to take learning forward.
She also explained that the graduating class was the first intake for this year and that her school was among the luckiest schools that piloted the pre-school model. ends
