The annual presentation of BDF Bands in Concert Style have increasingly become some of the exciting entertainment events in the country’s calendar.
As it is the norm around this time of the year, the countrywide event commenced on Friday at the Sir Seretse Khama Barracks.
The exciting show was graced by President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama, members of the diplomatic corp, Cabinet Ministers and other senior government officials among others.
BDF Bands in Concert Style are always a marvel to attend as the soldiers have talent, skill and style when it comes to stage, hence deliver amazing performances.
The BDF Bands in Concert Style was an initiative started in 1991 by President Khama when he was the BDF Commander with the aim to generate funds to assist the needy in the society.

They enthralled the audience with their sensational performance of a disco piece by Peter Teanet dubbed Economy.
There were screams all over the SSKB auditorium as the dancers did what they know best to the Economy song, with their well-choreographed dance moves.
Corps of Engineers also fascinated the audience with a superb traditional dance performance.
The show lived up to people’s expectations as the bands also performed a medley of songs, while all the songs were played live.
This year the BDF spiced up the show with a guest performance by the traditional music maestro, Ditiro Leero who also did not disappoint.
Meanwhile, as per the mandate of the BDF Bands in Concert Style, on Friday some charitable organisations were presented with cheques from the funds that were raised from the previous shows.
Lady Khama Charitable Fund benefited P50 000, Botswana Redcross Association P50 000, Rea Nyalana got P20 000 while Cheshire Foundation also benefited P20 000.ENDS
