This year marks the first ever wedding expo event organised by Limkokwing University event management students.

The expo, which was held on Tuesday (November 8), themed, An Intimate Mall of Bliss  put more emphasis on design, decor and wedding planning.

In her speech president of Botswana Entertainment Promoters Association, Zenzele Hirschfield encouraged the students to be creative in everything that they do .

She also challenged them to ensure that their work leaves a mark.

“As Batswana, we have the capability to deliver in any sphere and as an event manager you need to have faith in what you do. Be a perfectionist and always look for the latest trends and themes,” she said.

One of the exhibitors, Alphosinah Mojuta of Lebrol Graphics who designs invitation cards said she started her business six months back and it was doing well.

Mojuta who is working with two other designers said she wanted to see her business grow into a big company and acquire an office where she would operate from.

Currently, she operates from home.

For her part, Lorato Kekwaletswe of North Power Wedding Shop said that her business was doing well.

She hires wedding gowns ranging from P1 000 to P2 500.

Fifi and Reginah, of Fifi and Reginah Make-up who were based at KB Mall, also said their business was doing well since it started operating in 2012 as people appreciate their talent.

They explained that they do make-ups for different occasions such as bridal make-up, graduations and they also do individual make-ups.

They appreciated the expo, saying that they were able to showcase their talent. ENDS
