Mosu receives computers

President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama has donated five computers to Mosu Primary School.
Handing over the computers to the school on Friday (November 4), President Khama said it was good for pupils to begin accessing computers as early as at primary school.
He was hopeful that the donation would enhance the academic performance of the school.
Responding to the concern of Kgosi Thanyego Pemole that some people are selling drugs to students, the President said such people are not only destroying students’ future but are also destroying the country’s future, as the children are the future leaders.
He encouraged parents to guide their children, saying that though concerted efforts of all concerned are necessary for moulding children, parents have a major role.
Turning to students, he told them to shun alcohol and drugs.
He stated that if children continue to indulge in alcohol and drugs, as well as displaying unpleasant behaviour, they are reversing the country’s achievements.
The President explained that alcohol consumption and drugs use lead to ill health. Kgosi Pemole vowed to impose met out severe punishment on those who sell drugs to children.
He also pleaded with parents to support students’ education.
For her part, deputy school head, Ms Tsapelo Ndawanyana expressed gratitude for the donation saying it would boost the school’s performance.
Ms Ndawanyana promised the President that they would do their best to improve academic performance.
She also pleaded for Internet connection in the school for research purposes. ENDS
