Jkush to release second single

02 Nov 2016

A new and upcoming artiste JKush is about to release his second single after the release of his first single Skinny Nigga that made its debut on October 3.

Tshephang “JKush” Osenyeng aged 21 said in an interview that music is his passion and it serves as an alternative to escape from the real world and enter a world of unlimited imaginations with no room for impossibilities.

He said his second song will be called #WOB and is anticipated to be released sometime in December 2016.This new song will be dedicated to anyone trying to find a balance between work and play.

The young lad from Mahalapye, currently residing in Gaborone said that his choice of genre is Hip Hop. He added that his music is about making people view things in different perspectives other than one’s own in order to assess and understand why people do things the way they do before laying judgements.

“In life everyone makes their own decisions so people should not be making choices for others,” explained Osenyeng.

This art of music, he said was started sometime in November 2015 where he collaborated with P.I.Z, an upcoming Hip Hop artiste from Maun in two unofficial songs called Turn Up and They have. Thereafter he started working on his official single that has been released and can be accessed for free on Sound cloud and Datafilehost.

Osenyeng highlighted that the release of this song would not have been possible if it was not for his producers Teg-Mike and Youn-G who are siblings and both feature on his Skinny Nigga single. The two siblings produced his song at their professional studio called Bella Ent. Studio.

Disregarding the fact that nothing is for free, the two brothers produced Osenyeng’s first single for free as they believed in his raw talent and saw that ‘je ne sais quoi’ that they look for in artists.

Every artist has a unique trait that sets him/her apart from others and Osenyeng said that he is distinct from others because of his originality.

Osenyeng added that what keeps him on track is the focus he has and the 8-hour principle he adopted from his friend Nicole Keetile which is 8 hours for business and music, 8 hours for his studies and 8 hours of sleep which all amount to 24 hours.

He further noted that the challenges he is faced with as an artiste are requests to perform for free since he is not yet a well-established artist and the lack of support from fellow Batswana.

However, he overcomes such challenges by giving in to performing for free to get his name and brand out there as well as continuing to produce quality music that will eventually get people on board.

Osenyeng said Batswana should be on the lookout for his upcoming event as well where he will also be launching a clothing line to promote his brand.

He urged everyone to focus on and follow their dreams in whatever they want to pursue. ENDS
