Strings of guitarists for Mascom Live Session Friday

 Botswanacraft will on Friday host a first of its kind Mascom Live Sessions which would feature an amazing line-up of guitarists and it has never been done before in Botswana.


Speaking in an interview, Oliver Groth said the session is dubbed Strings of Southern Africa; Guitar Fest and it would feature a long line of legendary guitarists which would be a first in the history of the Mascom Live Sessions.


“Louis Mhlanga, John Selolwane, Banjo Mosele, Kapenda Katuta, Kabo Leburu, Gee Gomotsegang, Zakes Gwaze, Morolong, Michael Philips, Kabelo Tamukate, Lamech Nwako, Terry Lewis II, Tavonga Makotore, Andrew Chinganga, Lekofi Sejeso and Enock Mbewe will grace our stage and it is going to be awesome,” he said.


He indicated that they are excited as Botswanacraft and Mascom Live Sessions to host such an amazingly talented and encouraged guitar lovers to come for a lesson in guitar.


Having recently hosted Tomeletso Sereetsi and Oliver Mtukudzi for another Mascom Live Sessions, guitarists in their own right, Groth said they would continue to engage and host reputable artistes who would in turn inspire some of the upcoming local artistes.


“When you see them on stage as an upcoming artiste, you too know it is possible to follow and go after your dreams of being an artiste who takes his/her craft seriously,” he said.


He further said tickets are already on sale at Botswanacraft and retail at P200 each.


“Like I always say, people need to get their tickets as soon as possible because we rarely have tickets come Friday evening,” he said, adding that the audience is also encouraged to come on time as they always start their events on time. 

Oliver said he was amazed at the support and positive feedbacks they have got over the years with the Mascom Live Sessions.


“Not only do we contribute to music tourism in the country, we also provide a platform for local artists to perform and they grow their audience,” he said, further indicating that Botswanacraft is known for its mature and chilled crowd with great ambience.


“If Friday night you are looking for a spot to hang out, kick back and not worry about silly incidents, Botswanacraft is the place to be and what better way to relax than to listen and witness some of the best guitarists to ever do it,” he said. ENDS
