ISBS adopts Modipane Primary School

Imperial School of Business and Science (ISBS) formerly known as Damelin Botswana has adopted Modipane Primary School in Kgatleng District.
The adoption came about after ISBS sponsored the school activities such as prize giving in previous years.
Speaking during the official announcement of the adoption, prize giving ceremony and graduation of reception class, the operations director for ISBS, Mr Nidheesh Sharma said they received direct recipients of students from primary and secondary schools hence playing an active role in grooming them.
He said as their corporate social responsibility initiative they intend to directly impact the educational environment and influence change at the grassroots level something he said will overall impact the nation’s vision pillar of an educated and informed nation.
Mr Sharma said Modipane primary will benefit immensely from ISBS initiatives, support and further training to their teachers and facilitators. He also said their choice for Modipane was influenced by Ms Iponeng Pilane who is the longest serving employee of ISBS also a former student of Modipane primary.
Moreover he said the ISBS group ideology has always been to give back to the community, so as to benefit the under privileged thus improving lives and creating inroads that will overall develop Botswana.
ISBS sponsored 80 awards in each standard including prizes for teachers, toys, intelligent games for pre-primary and primary classes and hard mats for cushioning physical activities. Also part of the package was 34 fans for all classrooms to make learning possible despite rising temperatures.
For her part, guest speaker, longest serving employee of ISBS and former Modipane primary student Ms Iponeng Pilane said ISBS’s management was interested in improving the lives of the society.
Ms Pilane congratulated the awardees and advised those who did not receive awards to work hard going forward.
She said in future ISBS looks forward to enrol students from Modipane primary, she said that could be made possible by the cordial relationship of all stakeholders in education. ENDS
