Mabeo calls for passion diligence

Minister of Employment, Labour Productivity and Skills Development, Mr Tshenolo Mabeo has called on officers in his ministry to love their jobs.
Speaking at a meeting with the ministry staff, he told the officers to perform diligently because they were doing their jobs for Batswana.
Mr Mabeo expressed his excitement over being appointed at a new ministry indicating that change of environment was good.
He highlighted that he would use the experience he had acquired at his former ministry to take the new ministry forward.
The minister indicated that they had to start by laying a firm foundation, which would enable them to build a new entity.
He said they needed to hold each other’s hands in a family manner to fulfill the ministry’s mandate,
“Whatever we do let’s do it to the best of our ability knowing that we can’t be compared to another ministry because we are new,” he said.
Mr Mabeo noted that their focus should be on attaining a mark on a higher bracket and drive government priority areas and support Vision 2036 pillars.
He noted that there was need for commitment from everyone from leadership down to the officers, adding that it did not mean that those at the top were the most important because they were a team.
The minister stated that he was result oriented therefore encouraged everyone to emulate him and uphold their responsibilities as public servants.
He said every officer’s work ethic should comply and adhere to the public service charter and be productive.
The officer welcomed the minister and also expressed their excitement with the formation of the new ministry and further promised to work hard for the benefit of Batswana. ENDS
