Beware of heavy falls

Department of Meteorological Services has warned of heavy falls of 50mm or more over some places in the Southern District today and tomorrow (October 18 -19).
According to a weather forecast, these may be accompanied by strong winds and lightning that may cause possible damage to life and property.
Meanwhile, extremely hot temperatures of 380C to 400C are expected over Ngamiland and Chobe.
The department further states that this may lead to a possibility of heat related diseases and therefore warns the public to avoid prolonged stay under the sun. ENDS
