Lobatse Magistrate, Ms TshepoThedi has denied an 18 year man bail pending mitigation and sentencing after the accused was found guilty of unlawful wounding.

The accused person, Keotshephilel Rajana from Gopong is alleged to have stabbed Mr David Rakgabeng with a sharp object on his abdomen and therefore causing a deep wounding on the area in November 2014.

 The victim is said to have managed to walk home after being stabbed, where he was taken to Athlone hospital and was later referred to Princess Marina hospital where he received medical care.

Public prosecutor, Sub Inspector Meshingo Kedikanetswe asked the court to treat the accused as a first offender.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Thedi denied the accused bail since he has been convicted and still awaiting sentence to be passed on October 25. ENDS
