 Ontefetse Osego who won My Star Best of the Best 2016, set the stage on fire, over the weekend at a concert dubbed Gospel Unlimited, which was held at Mantlwaneng.
The show, which was meant to launch the P100 000 champion’s 10 tracked, album, Trust Upon The Lord, which saw the lad with an incredible vocal range capturing the audience.
Osego , the vocally-robust singer  and his silken –voiced backing vocalists took to stage at midnight, after much entertainment and engagement in to the praise and worship songs was brought in by, Zodwa Mahlangu and Nomathembu Mabeka from Joyous Celebration.
Joyous Celebration artistes, Nobathembu Mabeka, sang her popularly known songs Siyabonga Jesu and Baleka, while Zodwa Mahlangu sang Oh What He’s Done For Me, Remihilwe Matla and Alpha n Omega.
Osego sat in on the stage, as he sang You are holy, calling out for the audience to thank God for all that he had done for them, describing God as the almighty, the restorer and most gracious.
He went on to sing Haleluya, a worship song which clearly called for God’s presence, judging from the audience response.
“True worship is a matter of the heart expressed through a lifestyle of holiness. If your lifestyle does not express the beauty of holiness through an extravagant or exaggerated love for God, and you do not live in extreme or excessive submission to God, then I invite you to make worship a non-negotiable priority in your life. Let us thank God for all that he has done for us,” he said.
Osego also sang Nna le Jeso waka rea dumalana, Fa ke tsoletsa and I serve the Mighty God, allowing some of his backing vocalists to take to the stage, marvelling at the art of gospel, touching the heart of the audience.
Although the show began very late, the audience seemed so calm and were not bothered. Other artistes who warmed up the stage included, The 2013 winner, Tebogo. ENDS
