Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Ms Botlogile Tshireletso says her ministry is aware that the incidental vote for Tribal Administration is inadequate.
Speaking during the Ntlo ya Dikgosi session, Ms Tshireletso said it is difficult for her ministry to increase the incidental vote due to the set  ceilings because during the budgeting process, ceilings are provided by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development and ministries work within approved ceilings.
“Going forward, my ministry will continue to give Department of Tribal Administration priority within the limits of the available budget,” she said.
Ms Tshireletso was responding to a question asked by Kgosi Kekailwe Tefiso of Ngwaketse West on when her ministry will consider increasing the incidental expenses vote to cater for procurement of refreshments in all dikgotla in the districts during Tribal Administration meetings. ENDS
