Otse clinic untidy-Kgosi
16 Oct 2016
residents of Otse in the South East district have asked their Member of Parliament to make a follow-up to uncollected waste at Otse clinic.
Kgosi Mothusi Tsetse said the clinic is not habitable due to uncollected waste.
He said efforts to have the issue resolved have not been successful as previous efforts did not bear fruit.
Kgosi Tsetse said he met with the clinic management over the issues, but there has not been any improvement, hence the need for the MP’s intervention.
He said the condition of the heath facility is not attractive and it cannot inspire patients to have confidence on the facility.
Further, Kgosi Tsetse said he once gave the facility a tent to use as a shelter for the elderly as there is no enough shelter.
However, he said he was forced to take back the tent as it was not taken care of by staff members.
On other issues, he decried lack of consultation by the South East district council.
He said the council has failed to consult Otse residents on the proposed mall at show grounds in Ramotswa.
Kgosi Tsetse said residents of Otse, Taung and Mogobane deserve to be consulted separately as the issues affect all South East residents not only those in Ramotswa.
For his part, the MP promised to visit the facility to appreciate the alluded problems.
On other issues, Mr Rantuana told the residents that they will benefit under the ESP as teachers staff houses will be constructed in the village.
Therefore, he said these will address issues of shortage of accommodation in the village.
Further, he said Seuwane industrial land servicing will also be done through ESP.
He said the Seuwane residential plots land servicing which is expected to address shortage of plots in South East district will follow.
Mr Rantuana also said residents of Magope ward in Ramotswa will also benefit as their area will be serviced.
Among the amenities expected at Magope are roads, water and electricity, he said. ENDS
