Accused denied bail

A 48 year-old man from Kanye has been remanded in custody for allegations of unlawful wounding.
Mr Bernard Silabo is alledged to have on October 9, 2016 near Sebako ward in Kanye unlawfully assaulted his girlfriend with some fists on her face thereby causing bodily harm.
Sergeant Motsumi Phorie of Kanye Police lead the prosecution before Kanye magistrate Ms Bosele Busang.
He said the complainant has been admitted at Princess Marina Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for medical attention therefore the accused cannot be granted bail.
He said since the matter is still fresh, investigations are on-going and the accused shall appear for mention on October 27, 2016. ENDS
