Project to create jobs

Member of Parliament for Ramotswa, Mr Samuel Rantuana said local citizens should cast their net for Game City –Boatle road tender, which will see the road constructed into a dual carriage.
Addressing Taung residents on Tuesday (October 11), Mr Rantuana pointed out that the project is going to create job opportunity for residents, urging them to be aware of the commencement of the project.
The project which is done through the Economic Stimulus Programme (ESP) is worth P300 million and is going to run for three years.
He said the project will begin between the months of December and January.
Mr Rantuana expressed his gratitude regarding the reconstruction of the road that it would reduce the number of accidents that has been occurring along the road.
He continued to state that Magope ward in Ramotswa is under preliminary work carried by the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) for the reticulation of electricity in the ward, which will also be funded under ESP.
Rantuana also mentioned the approval of Seuwane land servicing project, along Mogobane and Otse road by parliament which will also get funding through ESP
“This is an opportunity that Balete should use for their own advantage and if used wisely it can better many lives and help diversify the economy,” he said.
Moreover, Mr Rantuana hinted on changes 2019 elections will come with.
He explained that parliament has agreed on the introduction Electronic Voting Machines which is to be used during 2019 elections.
He further explained that necessary teaching will be conducted to educate people how to use the device.
Meanwhile the Member of Parliament has urged parents to be supportive of their children during the examination period. ENDS
