Director of Dimension Data, Mr Dancan Pie, has pledged P2 000 for each Form 3 student who will do well in their examinations by scoring A or better.

Mr Pie motivated students at Baitirile Junior Secondary School prize giving ceremony in Moshupa on Friday (October 7), noting that money is “just a reward to inject a spirit of excellence within the school.”

His company has also awarded presents to best performers in mathematics, sciences and English in forms 1-3.

Mr Pie has encouraged students rewarded for splendid performance to keep the momentum and on the other hand  urged those who did not get any rewards to strive for excellence to ensure that next time they are counted amongst the recipients.

He advised students to explore opportunities in the internet to improve their academic performance and ensure that they are marketable globally.

Mr Pie encouraged students to partake in sport, cultural recreation and performing arts that may give them an impetus in life that also teaches them discipline as in every sport code and art beat there are rules which need to be obeyed.

He further said if the students have gone all the way to finish their studies, regardless of all the barriers and hiccups they faced then they are obliged to be proud of themselves.

For his part the school head Mr Tshiamo Tlhabiwe said the objectives of the ceremony was to reward the excelling students, academically and extra-curricular activities.

He encouraged the students to be focused when it comes to their studies, adding that education is a precious thing that needs to be nurtured because if lost by any chance, it cannot be repossessed.

Tlhabiwe applauded the students who had the opportunity to be rewarded but also challenged those lagging behind to work hard and improve their academic performance. ENDS
