Masisi lunches with St John

The Vice President, Mr Mokgweetsi Masisi, on Saturday (October 8), hosted lunch for members of St John’s Apostolic Faith Mission from Mochudi at his house.
Speaking in an interview, Mr Masisi said the relationship with the church started when they invited him for a fund raising activity, adding that they were building a mutual relationship.
He said the church’s brass band also performed on Independence Day in 1966, hence the lunch was also part of BOT50 celebrations.
The Vice President said he was willing to work with different organisations and religions.
He said churches such as Spiritual Healing Church also asked him to join them in their fund raising activities.
He called upon the churches to continue praying for the nation and ensure it did not lose its morale fibre.
Also at the lunch was former Botswana Defence Force Commander Lt Gen. Tebogo Masire, permanent secretary in the Ministry of Basic Education Ms Grace Muzila, president of Customary Court, Kgosi Mothibe Linchwe and Botswana Stock Exchange chief executive officer Mr Thapelo Tsheole.
The church members were from the Tsope Circuit and included members from Morwa congregation. ENDS
