The Christian community has taken a call to enhance  the arts and culture industry.
In an Interview on Wednesday the Ozzy Entertainment spokesperson, Osego Maseko said the church was not behind in the field of arts and culture since it hosted several activities that promoted music and culture.
Maseko said Miss Phenomenal was a Christian-based beauty pageant whose objectives were based on moral regeneration and patriotism.
It aimed at showcasing young women’s talent in modelling based on Christian values.
Miss Phenomenal Pageant 2016 launch is billed for Phakalane Golf Resort from 7pm today.
Contestants would show case their skills before the November 4 finals.
Miss Phenomenal beauty pageant’s was also meant to contribute to development of the girl child, enhance the moral growth and self-development of a girl child and to assist in the revival and preservation of Setswana moral values and the Christian life.
Maseko said the pageant was running for the first time this year and it targeted young Batswana who were talented in modelling and mostly who were willing to develop themselves into responsible citizens.
He noted that the contestants would be trained in developing projects that would enable them to help develop or talk to girls at primary school age to teach them ways of living.
He said the brain behind the pageant was Prophetess Tshepo Mariba who had experience in pageantry.
In her youthful day, she participated in several pageants.
Therefore, she wanted women to showcase their talents and working together as one. ENDS
