Black Forest ready for premier league

03 Oct 2016

Mompati Ditiro, Black Forest Football Club’s manager says his team is ready for the premiership league.

This comes after Black Forest, otherwise known as Magoleng to their supporters, which hail from Mmankgodi became champions of the Debswana First Division South league last season, earning themselves a place in the premier league football.

Speaking in an interview recently in one of the club’s training sessions in Mmankgodi, Ditiro said he is satisfied with his team’s performance after they played with over four  teams from the elite league amongst them Gunners, Galaxy, Gaborone United and Gilport Lions.

“I am over 90 per cent confident that my team is ready, we are just waiting for this season to begin,” said Ditiro. He did however point out that the delay in the start of this year’s football season has had a negative impact on his boys who are eager to play in the big league and are hungry for success.

“The delay has dispirited my team, but we are doing all that we can to boost their morale with hope that the season begins soon,” Ditiro exclained.

Ditiro revealed that they have since signed eight players into the team and loaned about 20 players from first division whom he believes come as great additions to the team.

He went on further to explain that most of the eight  players are coming from places around Mmankgodi and this meant that they are not new to the team as they have been playing against each other from their respective teams.

He further stated that they released six players from the team which they played with last season.

Ditiro highlighted that he was happy with the support they are getting from their fans who even make time to visit their training sessions adding that they even make time to hold their training sessions in villages around Mmankgodi to take the team to its supporters.

He strongly criticised some people in the business community who wanted to take advantage of them when they learnt of the team’s promotion to the premiership.

“They came with offers that would otherwise benefit them more than they would benefit the team,” Ditiro concluded.

He challenged potential sponsors to table reasonable offers with them citing that they still do not have a major sponsor and therefore are still open for proposals. ENDS
