KTM Choir set to launch new Album

Choral giants KTM choir, is set to launch a new album titled Botswana on Wednesday at Planet Lodge in Gaborone.
Having partnered with Liberty Life, KTM will launch their 4th album, which consists of 11 tracks with a live band.
Addressing media in Gaborone, KTM public relations officer, Michael Modise described the album, a BOT50 celebratory piece, which comprises of 11 tracks that echoes a rich history of Botswana.
Modise said the first track in the album, titled Botswana Fatshe la rona was a song that was composed by the late Kgalemang Motsete, a man whom the choir was named after.
“This song was one of the songs submitted by Motsete along with the now national anthem for selection,” he said. He explained that now they had revised the song to contemporary sounds.
“The song is part of the history of Botswana that was only known to a few, while the second track Botswana, narrates the history of Botswana.”
Other tracks, he said include Our Pride Your destination, Re Batswana, Dikgomo and Bonatla, Molodi wa Pina, Kalanga track Vula inodedema, Go Monate featuring T.H.A.B.O, Lekanyane and lastly a dedication track to the sponsor, Liberty Life.
For her part, Liberty Life managing director, Lulu Rasebotsa expressed delight over their four year relationship with KTM. Rasebotsa announced that Liberty Life has supported KTM for this particular project with P150 000. The money will be used for the album production.
Furthermore, Rasebotsa said KTM stands for what Liberty Life believes in, hence they had ensured their relation with the choir never dies. ENDS
