Puso urges Batswana to protect Botswana

The chairperson of Ntlo ya Dikgosi Kgosi Puso Gaborone has implored Batswana to remember how far they have come as a nation.
Speaking at independence celebrations hosted by Tlokweng Faith Mission Assembly on September 18, Kgosi Puso who was accompanied by his wife Thandi Gaborone, urged Batswana not to take for granted how much God has blessed the nation.
He said other countries do not enjoy the infastructural developments, the health system and advancements that are in the present Botswana.
Kgosi Puso said it is imperative that the nation guard jealously what has been attained in the past 50 years.
Kgosi Puso higlighted that every Motswana should fight and protect Botswana and remember the principles that made Botswana what it is today.
He said everyone has a good story to tell about Botswana and the progressive developments, signifying the showers that poured upon this nation.
He said those blessings should be cherished and nurtured even for future generations.
Kgosi Puso also encouraged the nation to embrace culture. He said culture has built a strong foundation for Botswana.
He said Botswana has values such as Botho which will go a long way in unifying the nation.
For his part the church board vice chairpesron ,Mr Golekanye Setume said as a church they are thankful for the freedom of worship.
He said in other countries Christians worship secretly.
Mr Setume said the nation is blessed as children in Botswana grow without war trauma and not knowing the sound of a gun.
They also do not lose their loved ones due to war and conflict.
He said the national anthem also attests to the fact that Botswana is a gift from God. Ends
