Hospital staff to celebrate BOT50 with patients

-Senior nursing officer at Bobonong Primary Hospital, Grace Machola says their staff has planned to celebrate Botswana’s 50th anniversary with patients.
Machola said this during fundraising games held in Bobonong show grounds recently.
She said they came up with the idea to show love and care on patients, adding that spending time with them will help speed their recovery.
Machola said their BOT50 activities include a luncheon, drama, music, and giving patients presents amongst others.
Each participant is expected to pay P5 per game played such as sack race, orange race, egg and spoon race, 100 metres race, modengeleso, 100 and 400 metre relays.
She said senior officers of the hospital have agreed to contribute P100 each while junior officers will contribute P50 towards the event.
Machola appealed to government departments, communities and stakeholders to help in raising funds for the event.
She said Batswana have proved to be a compassionate, just and caring nation, hence the need to be proud of our culture. ENDS
