Her passion for singing started during her primary school days when she was part of the school traditional dance group.

Little did Orebotse Batoloki know that this passion would grow into something big and make her the person she is today, a well-established musician. Known as Mmaratwa in the music circles, the

Kanye born song bird started her career at Mogwana Traditional Dance group.

Later, she and other seven singers formed a group known as Maila Cultural group, which she said was not successful.

It was after the demise of the group that Mmaratwa went solo to release an album dubbed Setilo sa Matlabane in 2014, which gained her instant stardom.

The very same year the album was released, Mmaratwa was nominated for the BOMU awards as best new comer, something she said inspired her to work hard. Setilo sa Matlabane still dominates air waves, but Mmaratwa bounced back with her new album, Tsholetsa ditlhako Ranngasi.

Since the release, the album has also seen much air play in radio stations, particularly the title song.

Mmaratwa said she was happy with the positive response her new album got from Batswana and promised that she would continue to work hard to give her supporters quality music.

She said in Tsholetsa ditlhako Rranngasi, she was trying to express sad real life issues where some couples find it difficult to conceive, despite trying for many years. Other tracks in the album include Bokwana, Kelapile, Thobane, Go thata, Magosi, Serodumo and Molemo. ENDS
