Lavendro Clothing launches

The Mayor Gaborone Kagiso Thutlwe has implored the owners of Lavendro Clothing to keep the brand alive for ever, to survive and be a great brand.

Thutlwe said this at the launch of the Lavendro Clothing brand, a company owned by a young Motswana, Kgotsa Mpenya, which specialises in all type of wears, bags and accessories, an event which was held recently.

“To me Lavendro means energy, something of style, something that will make people turn around and look at you,” he said.

He said more often than not, young people were able to come up with ideas, bringing in a lot of energy and clothing, which later would be nowhere to be found.

“I want to see you surviving and becoming a great brand. We need to adorn Lavendro and own it as our product,” he appealed to the youth.

For his part, the radio feature, founder and presenter of 'Empowering Your Vision', Mompoloki Makwana of RB2 said people who made a difference in life did so because they had a vision.

“Youth should refrain from putting blame on the government, but rather identify what it is that they could do to make a change in the world,” he said.

He said it was not easy to be extra ordinary these days as “we are surrounded by people who want to take everything that comes forth.”

He encouraged the youth to identify and associate with people who could help them accomplish their dreams. ENDS
