Mosii laid to rest

Multitudes of mourners descended on Leporung in the Barolong area for the funeral of Kgosi Tumelothebe Mosii on Saturday.

Loving, caring and committed were some of the words different speakers used to describe Kgosi Mosii.

Despite being unwell, Kgosi Mosii remained committed to his work.

Kgosi Morota Tiro of Mabule said the passing of Mr Mosii, was not only a blow to the Mosii clan, but also to the tribal administration and the community at large.

He said Mr Mosii was a great team player, who cooperated with other dikgosi

Speaking on behalf of the paramount chief, Sedibeng-Lorolwane senior chief representative, Kgosi Pekenene Sekwenyane, said the deceased, was not talkative but a straight talker.

He said he always stood his ground if he did not condone any form of mischievousness.

He added that he was a hard worker and perfectionist who paid attention to every details whenever he was given a task to perform to ensure that he produced a distinct work.

Speaking on behalf of the tribal secretary, Ms Betty Raditemana, said they had lost a reliable colleague who performed well during his tenure as the headman of records.

Kgosi Mosii started his primary school in 1978 at Leporung Primary School and advanced through all levels until form five.

Thereafter he secured a job at Digawana as a driver at Khara's complex.

He later joined Batho Botlhe Company where he retired in 2005 before taking up the post of headman of records.

Following his retirement, he ascended to the chieftainship on April 13, 2006 and held the post for 11 years until his death.

He is survived by wife, mother, five children and a niece. ENDS
