Speaking during the BOT50 meeting recently in Gaborone, Kgotlafela said through the published booklet which contains information about national symbols, the public will acquire important knowledge.

She said the symbols include the national grass which is motshikiri, national flower being sengaparile; national bird kgori as well as morula being the national tree, adding those symbols were not known by many people yet they have been there.

She also noted that the booklet defines the nation of Batswana, usage and meanings of symbols like national flag, national anthem and coat of arms which are quite well known.

Kgotlafela mentioned that the booklet will be distributed across the country in the national libraries as well as all schools from primary to tertiary levels.

In addition, she mentioned that the theme song is already available in local radio stations and they in a process to cut the CDs to be availed to the public and DVDs will as well be produced.

Meanwhile Kgotlafela indicated that as preparations are ongoing, there are improvements in deliveries by some local companies but those who are still left behind were informed to meet the deadlines to deliver, and measures will be taken to those who will not adhere to the deadline.
