Goya commends church

The Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development Mr Moiseraele Goya has commended Revelation Blessed Peace church for fostering unity and love within the community.
Officiating during the 40th anniversary of Revelation Blessed Peace Church in Kgagodi over the weekend, Mr Goya said the church has been teaching employees and encouraging people to abstain from lifestyle which could lead them into ways of evil.
He said Revelation Blessed Peace Church has been playing a vital role of developing the country and giving dignity to the people like it has built a house for a needy person in Maun and Dukwi.
He further said it has connected water to sa needy in Kgagodi, donated some money to SOS Francistown and did a lot of good deeds across the country.
He said all the good deeds the church has done prove that Revelation Blessed Peace Church is working in partnership with the government to develop the country.
He urged the church to introspect on the journey it has taken so far and craft a journey that it intends to take in the next 40 years.
He said the government recommend that there should be churches but it encourages that they should be registered with registrar of societies, their accounts books audited and membership and financial reports sent to the government by the end of each year.
Assistant Minister Goya said churches are now faced by adversaries, divisions among church members caused by selfishness on the part of some people who think the church is making a lot of money, so they want the supposed money for themselves.
He said this is mainly caused by lack of love and the churches' failure to give the congregation a financial report.
He however urged Revelation Blessed Peace Church to stand firm and conquer all the adversaries co ing their way.
Mr Goya who is also MP for Palapye said the church is the paramount pillar to the government, a pillar which could bring peace, harmony and joy if it is conducted in the right manner.
He added that churches should pray for peace. Ends
