Do not buy Makhaya

The public is advised not to buy a product called Makhaya that is sold across the country.
A press release from the Ministry of Health (MoH) states that Makhaya is one product that is claimed to have medicinal properties and promoted to treat many medical conditions.
The statement further says the Makhaya product has not been approved by MoH and the public should be aware that the product has not also been registered by the ministry for safety and quality and that therefore it is illegally imported and sold.
Members of the public are advised to alert the local authorities if one is found selling it. Ends
