Kgosi Puso weds

Multitudes of people from all corners of the country, invaded Malokaganyane village in the Good Hope-Mabule constituency, to bear witness to the Paramount Chief of Batlokwa, Kgosi Puso Gaboronone tying the knot to his sweetheart  Thandie Gaborone nee Leshomo.

The wedding day was an amazing celebration of love and happiness, with echoing sounds of ululations from family and friends’ singing joyful hymns to the extent that, tears were on the brink of falling.

The ceremony was perfect, filled with God’s presence, captivating love from family and friends and the ambiance was heightened by the police band that entertained guests while some visitors explored the exquisite site of the traditional village to capture unforgettable moments.

As the wedding was for the royal family, one would not fail to notice the golden colour in the whole décor.

Gold is regal, alluring, fascinating, and perfect for a wedding, the bride and the groom set a hot trend when they embraced golden age.

The newlyweds embraced golden age to create a fun and glamorous tone as well as to personalise and create a strong décor in a 500 seat marquee.

When it came to styling décor, their desire was to provide a look that exudes wealth, prosperity and ultimate beauty.

The set-up of the marquee comprised base plates, ribbons, gold rimmed crystal glasses, gold tiffany chairs, golden table cloths and all these combinations, provided sophistication and elegance.

As it is a norm that a grand and lavish cake makes a statement at a wedding, one could not miss a sight at the elegant three tier cake with collars of white chocolate wrapped around the sides and finished with golden iced roses.

The food was exquisite as people were treated to a variety of traditional cuisines.

To their knowledge, the bride was the centre of attraction, she had perfect pick of jewellery, shoes, attire and accessories.

The fact that men are thought to be simple fashion creatures the groom was certain to look good on his wedding day. The groom selected charming attires to harmonise his special day.

As it is the norm, no bridesmaids’ ensemble is complete without breath-taking accessories and shoes to match.

Both the groom's maids and bride's maids looked stunning in their golden dresses and matching suits.

The people were amazed and swept off their feet when the bride and groom with their maids took to the red carpet in beautifully designed leteisi attire.

In a side interview with the bride’s uncle, Chere Mabiletsa, he said, it was a wonderful blessing from God, that a royal family took their daughter’s hand in marriage.

Mabiletsa who could not contain his excitement said they received 14 herds of cattle as bride prize of which 12 are heifers and two bulls.

He said the marriage of their daughter to the royal family has brought dignity to the Leshomo family and their desire is to work jointly as a family under all circumstances.

Koketso Gaborone the daughter to the groom and the bride also said she does not have words to describe her feelings towards her parents wedding.

When giving vote of thanks, Kgosi Botiki Motshegare of Barolong thanked Batlokwa for their flexibility in following the Barolong culture.

He encouraged people to embrace and appreciate other cultures to strengthen unity between different tribes in the country.

The ceremony was graced by high ranking individuals, ministers, dikgosi and other top government officials.

The second leg of the ceremony would be held at Tlokweng showgrounds on August 27. Ends
