Miss Plus Size Universe recently announced appointment of Gorata Kekgethegile as the director of Miss Plus Size Botswana.
Amongst her duties, she is to carry the brand name, host and operate under the brand name and send the winner to the grand show in Trinidad.
According to a press release, Kekgethegile (24), impressed the Hyatt Regency Trinidad with her skills and experience in the pageantry for the past four years.
“We wish her and her company, Fab Fast Collections, the best and look forward  to have Miss Plus Size Universe Botswana in Trinidad and Tobago on November 13”, the release states.
Miss Plus Size Universe is making preparations for the staging of the fourth annual pageantry.
“The young ladies will be treated with royalty and given a chance to enjoy the warm hospitality of the island. Motorcade, city tours, meet and greet with government officials, television and radio interviews will be arranged to ensure a relaxing atmosphere throughout their memorable visit”, the release highlights.
Formed in 2012 by Pearl Williams, the focus of Miss Plus Size Universe is to educate, motivate and promote self-confidence with the mission to create community development programmes that provide jobs, scholarships, medical and health initiatives, educational projects and skills training.
“The pageant is not  based on size, but rather about ways to build self esteem and promote beauty from within. Too often plus size women get criticised and frowned upon because of their figure. We are here to prove that these women are just as beautiful, smart and bold in every aspect of life”, the release concludes.
Meanwhile , Kekgethegile is seeking assistance of sponsor for the 2016 pageant which will be held in Gaborone on October 29. ENDS
