The 11^th edition of the Botswana Consumer fair under the theme It’s More Than Just Shopping kicks off on August 22 until 28.

When addressing the media, the marketing manager of Fairground Holdings, Ms Thabo Mogomotsi  said  this year‘s fair has attracted a total of 500 stalls and 564 exhibitors.

She said the number of exhibitors and stalls complements the slogan which summarises activities of the fair including business, entertainment, family outing, discovering and exploring under one roof.

She also stated that the organisers have managed to attract 30 locals manufacturers and 14 foreign countries which include Lesotho, Zambia, Swaziland, South Africa, Nigeria, Pakistan, Czech Republic ,Ghana, India, China and Zimbabwe and it is expected to attract more than 62 500 visitors .

She further said that they have some additions to the fair which are Miss Botswana Consumer Fair 2016, local artistes, child safety, helicopter ride, traffic management and efficiency, Wi-Fi accessibility and media accreditation and media tour.

Ms Mogomotsi said published gates fees for adults is P40, P30 for children and charges for vehicles is P55 while express gates fees for adults is P50 and P40 for children and charges for vehicles is P55.

She concluded that the prize giving awards ceremony will be held on August 25 at 7pm with Mr Shadreck Tamari, chairperson for board of directors ,Fairground Holdings as the keynote speaker. ENDS
