Dibebe Ngele (44) who is accused of murdering  his 63 year old mother in Natale has on Monday appeared before Francistown magistrate Thebeetsile Mulalu for mention.

The accused person allegedly murdered her mother along A3 road in the southern side of the Sowa railway line on Thursday, July 21 at around 11 am in the morning.

Sergeant Kabelo Pheto of the Botswana Police who appeared for the State said the matter is still at preliminary stage and investigations are still on-going therefore, requested the suspect to be remand in custody.

 The accused person told the court that the police took his medical cards and he needs them to access medication.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Mulalu agreed with the police officer’s request to remand the accused in custody. The accused is expected back in court on August 22. ENDS
