07 Aug 2016
The national measles rubella and deworming campaign 2016 is said to be going well in Mahalapye Sub -district.
In an interview, Mahalapye Hospital public relations officer Ms Pauline Bontle, said so far they have not encountered any challenges and the campaign was running smoothly.
Ms Bontle said the campaign which started on July 25th until August 12 will be administered in all clinics including the hospital in the sub district from 7:30am to 4:30pm.
She noted that ever since the campaign started they have been targeting the under-five and drop outs children at all health facilities.
She said since the school opened on Tuesday they would now roll out the campaign to schools.
However, she said parents of under age children should not be discouraged because they are now rolling the campaign to schools, assuring them that there would be enough personnel to assist them at clinics and also at the hospital.
Ms Bontle said they were aware that some schools especially private ones have not closed and explained that they would also be covered. ENDS
