Lister Boleseng back with Moratiso

Who would believe Lister Boleseng had not released an album since 10 years ago, given his dominance in the music industry all these years.
Known for his O tlhokana le nna track, the renowned jazz legend is back again, this year with an eight track album dubbed Moratiso.
The album, which is his second, was launched in style at Maitisong hall on Friday, where the masses thronged to get a taste of what the jazz maestro had been cooking for years.
Boleseng’s first album released in 2007, dubbed Life’s Journey, was a success and saw him winning three BOMU awards in song of the year, best packaged album and the music video of the year.
Meanwhile, the Moratiso album has also proved to be a good piece of work by the jazz legend as people who attended the launched reacted positively to the album.
About the title Moratiso, which usually when one hears the word, they think of traditional love charm to attract opposite sex, Lister says it is a blend of musical tunes to appeal to the ladies and assure them that someone cares about their emotional feelings.
The idea of Moratiso, he says came about during his wife’s birthday when he was too broke to take her out to celebrate the day, rather he made her breakfast in bed.
The former army man said with Moratiso, he had to work hard to ensure it is better than his debut album which people are still listening to.
Moratiso, comprises of thrilling pieces such as Are bineng, a song the talented saxophonist dedicated to a late friend and music counterpart.
The album has other exciting songs such as Sebouledi, probably the favourite of the album, and it talks about a jealous lover who does not allow his girlfriend to talk to any man. Also well received was the track Mma Mmati, an old traditional song, which the legend refined into a splendid jazzy tune.
Other tracks in the album are Running Back, Dumelang, Nkinele Matsogo and Ke swa hela. ENDS
