Residents of Mogojogojo had a sponsored walk to raise funds for golden jubiliee celebrations on July 22. The Minister of Health, Dorcas Makgato, who was a chief walker, said sponsored walk activities were important to health as well.

Minister Makgato pledged P1 000 to Mogojogojo Bot50 committee. The area Member of Parliament, Dr Alfred Madigele, contributed P1 500 while councillor for the area, Baichele Mooketsane promised a beast.

Some members of the business community also contributed money and soft drinks to the committee. Each family was requested to contribute P50 per family.

The committee also conducted beauty contest. Mooketsane applauded public servants stationed in Mogojogojo for the cooperation and voluntary services they rendered for residents.

He encouraged them to keep that good spirit. Mooketsane said Botswana was a peace and stable country, which needed to be applauded. Ends
