He commended Pick’n’Pay for assisting the less privileged people who made part of the Selebi Phikwe community.

He called on Batswana and other businesses to emulate what the organisation had done by helping the needy.

Minster Molefhi encouraged the management and employees of Pick’n’Pay to meet the expectations of the customers to gain customers loyalty and confidence in investors as well as residents as customer service was the getaway to excellence.

He stated that Selebi Phikwe had grown in leaps and bounds over the years through self-reliance and government’s contribution which is worth to celebrate.

Floor manager at Pick’n’Pay, Mr Wadza Majwabe, said Botswana was moving forward because of the peace and unity citizens were embracing.

He also said looking back where the country came from and developments that the country acquired over the years, gave Batswana a motive and pride to celebrate the 50th anniversary of independence.

Mr Majwabe said Botswana, which was one of the poorest countries in the world before independence, was built from scratch by Batswana who were committed to seeing this nation as a progressive and developing country.  He said Batswana should be proud of themselves and forefathers who helped lay the foundations of the country.
