Kidney Society presents wellness climb

The Botswana Kidney Society in conjunction with Be Active sport management will host the inaugural Kgale Hill charity climb on the first weekend of August.
Speaking in an interview one of the organisers of the event Tlamelo Joseph, of Insynch Media explained that the main purpose of the event was meant to offer a hand to patients with kidney problems and assist government with its mandate of encouraging healthy lifestyles to its citizens.
“As we all Batswana know, we are often advised to be a caring nation, putting words in action, Be-Active sports management in collaboration with organizations like ministry of health and Bomaid just to name a few have seen it worth to host Kgale hill charity climb in order to raise funds for Botswana Kidney Society organization, so to help those who suffer from kidney related ailments,” he said.
Joseph, affectionately known in music circles as Reaction indicated that the event is not meant for kidney patients only rather for all Batswana at large, for the event will see different activities taking place like hill climbing, aerobics, blood tests and weight loss counselling.
“While Batswana offers a hand to the kidney patients they too will benefit as activities that will be done are for their health build up.
While parents partakes the daily activities, kids will be accompanied with activities like jumping castle, face painting and clown, so parents are free to bring along their kids.”With the event happening for the first time in all ages, Joseph advised Batswana to support the event in large numbers. He went on to say that registration is already made available at places like University of Botswana, Bomaid and Stanbic Super 5s Football Centre (Molapo Crossing)
“I want to urge Batswana to register on time . Registration fee differ according to age,P50 for kids under 12 years,P100 per adult,P180 per couple and P450 per team of 5 ,” he said.
Reacxion is the founder of The Help Foundation, which was set up in 2010 to help the needy families. He was also amongst the artistes who built a one roomed house for a needy person in Mahalapye in 2012.ENDS
