Dalom Splash celebrate with Botswana

Dalom Music, ‘Splash’ Festival train is here again, this year, now even bigger, as the group plans to celebrate the 50 years jubilee celebrations with Batswana on a high note.
While addressing the media recently, the leader of the group Dan Tshanda congradulated Botswana and its people for having reached such milestones of turning fifty years and upholding its true principles of botho, democracy, pride and honour amongst its people.
“Batswana are indeed a shinning example not only to the continent of Africa but to the whole world”, he said.
The South African giant, of the group ‘Splash’, which plays african mbaqanga and afropop, popularly treasured by most people in Botswana, said he wanted to take part in the celebrations, as he had been part of the Botswana community and having seen it evolve to be one of the leading countries in the music industry.
“I am told that as you celebrate 50 years, your Government has commited to playing local music for the entire month of September. I wish to applaud the move and commit to providing any support that I can give to you achieving that good initiative”, he said.
Tshanda said Botswana could only develop its industry of music if it continues to mature and support local musicians whom most of them are my friends and I have a lot of collaborations with”, he said.
“As way of celebrating with my fans in Botswana, I will be embarking in a nationwide tour with my full stable and some local artists”, he announced.
The Tour which is to kickstart in Lobatse, then Mahalapye, Maun, Gantsi, Jwaneng, Tsabong from July 22, 23, 29, 30, August 5 and 6 respectlevely, is anticipated to be fun, full of energy and most importantly a celebration of the music which most people grew up listening.
“The tour line upincludes Myself, Slizer, Dalom Kids, Matsikos, Peakok, Thabile Mazolwana, Montana, Mpho Majiga, DJ Fondo Fire, with Brooks, Dj Big Fish and MC Zero on the decks”, he said.
He said people should look out for more dates and venues for Selibe phikwe, Francistown , Kasane and Hukuntsi as the dates are to be announced soon.
“At the end of every show in every twn we visit, we have put aside some funds to give away to charity. Our Team shall identify those charities that are deserving and we will be announcing them and doing the handover ceremonies”, he said.
With regard to more concerns usually presented about the safety of the fans, Tsanda promised admitted that alghough they have had incidents which compromised security, but assured that his team was doing everything possible to tighten the security, as they have already identified places which are secure to host the shows.
Tshanda’s music career began in 1985, when he then gained popularity, amongst his other successes, 2001 he released slamming album titled Ndivhuwo, of which he then again in 2003 he released another album which was enjoyed by everyone locally and internationally titled Sethopha.
This album was released, marketed, promoted and distributed by his record company Dalom Music Distributors cc.
Due to his dedication and love for his music, Dan Tshanda has always been on top and is striving to remain on top, he has proven that by producing the best albums for each group that he produces.
His music has always been popular crossed South African borders into African countries such as Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Nigeria and abroad, with activity in North America, Australia, England, France.
