BDF soldier dies

A Botswana Defence Force’s (BDF) has died and two others are critical after an accident during a basic gunnery training course at Ntwetwe Firing Ranges on Wednesday July 6.
A press release from BDF states that the exercise is part of the continuous army specific training.
Meanwhile, the release says their names have been withheld until their next of kin have been informed and investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of the accident.
The BDF thus conveys deepest sympathy to the families and colleagues of the deceased. "We also wish the injured members a speedy recovery”, reads the release. ENDS
