Letsunyane unveils Miss Botswana packages

Sponsorship packages for Miss Botswana 2016 have been unveiled during a breakfast meeting at Masa Hotel in Gaborone on Monday.
Presenting the packages before an audience of close to 60 people, a member of MD Reussite Lifestyle and Communications, who is also a Private Sector Volunteer in Miss Botswana, Miss Ithabeleng Letsunyane said there would be four levels of sponsorships which companies can chose from to sponsor the event.
The first one is Platinum with a package amounting to P1 000 000, and the sponsoring entity would have Naming Rights. No other sponsors logos and presence shall be permitted inside the event room except digital logos.
This sponsor would enjoy varying benefits such as public relations and media; prizes and other material name; build-up events; publication; websites; post events and pageant tickets.
The second sponsor which is Gold attracts two entities and this co-sponsor package amounts to P750 000+.
The third sponsor which is Silver has three entities and amounts to P450 000+ while the fourth sponsor is bronze with a sponsor package amounting to P200 000+. Meanwhile companies which would show interest in sponsoring the event would be revealed in an event to be announced. At the moment individual companies are still coming forth and are locked in talks with the organisers of the event.
In the meantime, it has been revealed that this year’s queen will walk away with a prize of P450 000 while her first princess will pocket P100 000 followed by second princess with P50 000. The consolations prizes for nine contestants would P3 000 per person.
A communication from the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture Mr Kago Ramokate notes that
“The Miss Botswana 2016 event offers exciting marketing and publicity opportunities for your company. This is also an opportunity for your company to demonstrate its commitment to the market within which it grows”.
On the other hand minister Thapelo Olopeng told breakfast attendants that the top 30 Miss Botswana contestants currently in boot camp are under-going a rigorous life skills training that is intended to instill principles such as Botho, perseverance, integrity, self-reliance, social responsibility, accountability and independence in the contestants.
The training, he said, is meant to produce a well-rounded young women; inspired and empowered to serve Batswana and the rest of the world. In this regard the contestants will visit to one of the NGOs that take care of vulnerable children to serve and dedicate their time to children.
A Mini Culture day will be held for the contestants to appreciate the diverse cultures of Batswana and also to get guidance on how to be a respectable young woman. The presentations will make reference to Botswana cultural values such as Botho.

here will also be a High Tea session and this event will be facilitated by a notable women organisation to capacitate them on how to run successful businesses. These activities will culminate in the grand finale which will be held on July 29 at GICC. ENDS
